Doug Shannon has been a Vice President of Georgia Gulf Corporation since 2000 and is currently responsible for the Procurement function. He began his employment with Georgia Gulf in 1983 in purchasing, and subsequently moved to product manager of VCM, and then business manager of electrochemicals, before becoming director of business area management. Prior to joining Georgia Gulf, Doug worked with both U.S. Steel and Delta Resources.
A native of Baltimore, Maryland, Doug received a B.S. and an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.
